Has Lana Del Rey found amore with another man? It certainly looks that way. The “Young and Beautiful” singer, 28, was photographed this week on what appears to be a romantic trip with her rumored new guy, photographer Francesco Carrozzini, just days after Swiss paper 20 Minuten published an interview in which she reportedly revealed her split from fiance Barrie-James O’Neill.
Del Rey and Carrozzini, the Italian shutterbug son of Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani, were spotted together on Tuesday, July 1, in Portofino, Italy. Photos show them walking side-by-side and cuddling on a bench, with Carrozzini leaning in close to nuzzle her chin.
O’Neill has insisted to TMZ that he and Del Rey are still together, but these pictures seem to suggest otherwise—and a source tell Us Weekly that the chanteuse and Carrozzini have been seeing each other for “about a month.” Reports of the “Ultraviolence” singer’s broken engagement first surfaced in late June, when 20 Minuten quoted her as saying she and the Kassidy rocker were “currently not together.”
“I will not explain it in detail,” she reportedly told the paper. “This was hard on our relationship. I no longer felt free. We’ll see how it goes.”
Weeks earlier, she had been quoted as saying by The Guardian that O’Neill was a “dark character,” and that they had a “difficult road” together. “He has months on end where it’s a really dark stretch of writing and waiting,” she said. “He has his own total world, so…”
