Has Jackson family matriarch, Katherine Jackson, gone missing?

After family members couldn't reach the 82-year-old, nephew Trent Jackson filed a missing persons report late Saturday, CNN reports, saying her grandchildren have been unable to reach her for the past week.

"Katherine Jackson is reportedly with family members. Late Saturday night, a different family member reported that he was unable to speak to her and is concerned for her well-being," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells Us Weekly in a statement, adding that "Deputies are continuing to make efforts to reach her and ask that she contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station."

Paris Jackson — Michael's 14-year-old daughter — tweeted her concerns early Sunday morning.

"Yes, my grandmother is missing," the teen wrote. "I haven't spoken with her in a week [and] I want her home now."

Jackson's lawyer, Sandra Ribera, tells CNN Katherine flew from Calabasas, Calif. to Albuquerque, New Mexico July 15 to attend a Jackson brothers concert with her eldest daughter, Rebbie — but hasn't been heard from since.

"The kids were trying to get a hold of their grandmother and they haven't been able to reach her for almost a week," Ribera said. "They are told she's unavailable . . . I'm concerned that she's not safe," adding that Katherine "has never gone 24 hours without talking to her kids."

Jermaine Jackson also took to Twitter, to deny that there's anything wrong with his mother and insist she's merely taking some time off in Arizona

"I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us," he wrote Friday afternoon. "This is our mother and her health is paramount. We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctors advice. Period."

This latest family drama comes just a few days after two of Katherine's daughters, Rebbie and Janet, as well as three of her sons, Jermaine, Randy, and Tito, penned a letter (made public earlier this week), criticizing the executors of the late Michael's will, claiming they have been taking advantage of their elderly mother and defrauding the family.
