Nicole Richie is lightening up!
The former reality star, 28, showed off her new shorter, blonder 'do on her official Web site Thursday.
So what made the former reality star say goodbye to her chocolate locks?
"Last night we played Clueless. Andy [Lecompte] and George [Papanikolas] played Cher & Dionne, and I played Tai [who was played bythe late Brittany Murphy]," she blogged Thursday. "'Aahhh!! Project!'"
Lecompte, who cut her hair, and Papanikolas, who handled the color, have also worked with Britney Spears, Megan Fox and Madonna.
But when Richie first debuted her darker 'do in December 2009, she told UsMagazine.com she did it because she was "ready for a change."
"I change my hair color all the time, and I hadn't done it in a few years," she told Us. "With the babies, I just really hadn't had time. I'm so used to having that change all the time, and I hadn't done it in about two years, so I was just ready and sick of being blonde!"
