Another one bites the dust.
The Bachelorette's most recent castoff, Hunter, assures UsMagazine.com he wasn’t too heartbroken that Ali Fedotowsky, 25, sent him packing on Monday night’s show.
"When I left I was definitely happy to get back home," says the 28-year-old internet account executive. "It was something where I was pumped to be there, but when it was done I was relieved as well."
What was the problem?
"It was less awkward than how it was shown, but it was still awkward," he says of their televised dates. "I don't think there was any romantic spark at all, and that's kind of what it was in the end. You could tell between both of us when we realized that, at least for that night, there wasn't anything there."
Since being booted off, Hunter returned home to San Antonio, Texas and "literally slept for about 48 hours" before going back to work. It was then he also realized they weren't right for each other, he says.
"Would things have changed between Ali and I if I had more time? That I really don't know," he tells Us. "I might have just kept on shutting down more and more."
The former contestant also revealed that, like former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas, he wouldn't be surprised if Ali ended the show without a special someone.
"If she didn't find the person that she saw herself with for the rest of her life then I would see her not picking anyone," he says. "She let me go because she didn't see anything there. I could see her doing the same thing with the guys, even it was down to the final two."
