At the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2012, Bridesmaids costars Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudloph, Melissa McCarthy and Rose Byrne created their own on-stage drinking game.

This year, it's co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's turn to make the rules. Appearing on the Jan. 18 cover of The Hollywood Reporter, the former Saturday Night Live standouts and real-life BFFs list several reasons to encourage viewers and audience members to imbibe during the Jan. 13 telecast.

"Any time an actress cries in a speech, drink. Any time you see a person actively not listening to someone onstage, drink," Fey, 42, muses.

Adds Poehler, "Any time someone says, 'I didn't prepare anything!"

"Any time anyone thanks [film studio chairman] Harvey Weinstein, eat a meatball sub," Fey jokes. Whenever the camera pans to Judi Dench, the 30 Rock star and creator says, "you take off an article of clothing."

Parks and Recreation's Poehler, meanwhile, would prefer people removed their clothes "any time Maggie Smith wins."

According to Bossypants author Fey, "When you get a bunch of people in a room who don't eat much, and you give them one drink, it gets good fast."

The co-hosts are eager to mingle with this year's nominees — and to good-naturedly tease them, of course. "The Golden Globes is the one time where the beautiful people of movies rub shoulders with the ragged people in TV," Poehler, 41, explains. "We have a lot of TV people whose behavior, frankly, we're not going to be able to predict because they're just lucky to be there!"

Poehler adds, "We've fortunately been to a few of these awards show things now, and we've had some fun while we were there. And then the Golden Globes is just quirky and weird enough, I think that it's up our alley."

Fey and Poehler — who have known each other since they were on the same improv team in Chicago in 1993 — know they'll be performing in front of a "tough crowd," according to the blonde comedienne. "It's a lot of nervous people wanting to see if they win or lose, and as the night goes on, the losers outnumber the winners."

Reality star Francesca Eastwood, daughter of actors Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, has been named this year's Miss Golden Globe. Fey's elder daughter, 7-year-old Alice, won't be participating "this year," the actress said.

Joked Fey, "I think she should be at least 9 before she’s Miss Golden Globe."
