Jackson Family Expected to Attend Indiana Memorial

Dozens of fans began lining up this morning to attend a memorial for Michael Jackson in his hometown of Gary, Indiana.

The mayor's office confirms to Usmagazine.com that Michael's father, Joe, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson will all be at the public event, which kicks off at 6 p.m. at the town's ballpark. (Doors open at 4 p.m.)

Although Mayor Rudy Clay Spacer has requested that Jackson's body be moved from Los Angeles (it's temporarily being held in Motown founder Barry Gordy's crypt as the family battles over how to make money off Jackson), his office cannot confirm if that will happen.

Michael lived in Gary until he was 11 years old. The family moved in 1969 when Jackson 5 became famous.

More than 17,000 fans packed L.A.'s Staples Center on Tuesday to memorialize Jackson, who died June 25 of cardiac arrest.

Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey and Usher performed Jackson's hits.

Us confirmed many of the celeb speakers had never met Jackson, or hadn't spoken to him in years.
