Drake Disses Macklemore at ESPYS, He Doesn’t Make “Real Music”

Evidently still smarting from missing out on the Best Rap Album gong, Toronto rapper Drake, 27, performed his so-called new song, “Honorable Mention,” as a nod to all the runner-ups in sport and music competitions, who nearly made it to the top spot.

As he sang the song, a huge photo of Macklemore, 30, holding a Grammy suddenly appeared on the screen behind the rapper as his lyrics declared, “Real talent doesn’t always win championships, like real music doesn’t always win Grammys,” causing the audience to go wild.

Macklemore texted fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar (also in contention for Best Rap Album alongside Drake, Jay Z and Kanye West) after he was awarded the Grammy, declaring his fellow nominee was “robbed.”

“That st was wack as f–k,” Drake told Rolling Stone magazine. “To name just Kendrick? That s–t made me feel funny. No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!”
