Carole Radziwill is back on the singles scene. In late 2012, the Real Housewives of New York City star quietly split with Aerosmith's Russ Irwin after a two-year courtship, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.
"Russ and I have decided to call it quits," Radziwill tells Us in a statement. Irwin appeared in several episodes of The Real Housewives of New York City and even recorded a song, "Manhattan," with Radziwill.
Radziwill, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, is maintaining a sense of humor about her single status. "I haven't celebrated Valentine's Day since the fifth grade when the boy I had a crush on gave me a valentine, only to find out later that he gave one to the entire class, including the boys," she tells Us.
For now, Radziwill is shifting the focus from her personal life to her professional career. The What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love author is working on the final revisions for her new novel, The Widow's Guide to Sex and Dating. The book is slated for a July 2013 release.
Irwin, who has toured with Sting, Bryan Adams and Duncan Sheik, released his second solo album, Get Me Home, in 2012. Radziwill, a close friend of the late Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, lost her husband, Anthony, to cancer in 1999.
