Alex Karpovsky, Girls Star, Juggles Women in New Film Supporting Characters!

While most people now know him now as Ray in the Golden Globe winning series Girls, Alex Karpovsky has been a star of independent film since long before HBO picked up Lena Dunham‘s provocative, beloved show.

In Supporting Characters, written and directed by Daniel Schechter, Karpovsky plays Nick, a film editor in New York City struggling to make it in the indie film scene with his best friend Darryl (played by Tarik Lowe, who co-wrote the screenplay).

Released by Tribeca Film, the movie costars Arielle Kebbel, Kevin Corrigan — and even features a delightful appearance by Dunham herself, who plays a sound engineer working with Nick and Darryl. A quirky take on the romantic trials of young adulthood, the ensemble lights up the screen in this film fest fave.
