Rumors that Dancing With the Stars partners Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy are dating have continued to swirl, but Wendy Williams attempted to get some clarity on her show Friday.
“The word on the street is that you guys are very affectionate and perhaps it’s more than just dancing between the two of you,” The Wendy Williams Show host said. “Are you guys a couple?”
Chmerkovskiy, 26, jokingly stretched his arm around Monaco, 36, but then avoided the question. “We’ve been dancing together, so yeah, we’re a dancing couple,” he said.
And Monaco insisted that they didn’t always have such great of chemistry, despite how it seemed on the show.
“We had our moments where we did not get along,” the General Hospital soap opera actress said. “They just cut it and edit where you just saw the good stuff I guess.”
But the audience wasn’t buying it. “What?” Monaco asked with laugh.
The twosome also appeared on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Friday, and Chmerkovskiy tweeted a sexy photo of himself shirtless during the show. “Had a blast at VH1 Buzz with Carrie Keagen on VH1,” he wrote. “And yes somehow Kelly Monaco managed to have me take my shirt off . . . again.”
Between press appearances, the rumored couple got cozy during a stroll around NYC on Wednesday. They wore matching ensembles of black leather jackets and black pants, and walked arm in arm.
