It's as if Lea Thompson, perhaps best known for her role in Back to the Future, had traveled back to the past! Hitting the red carpet at the L.A. premiere of Lifetime's Call Me Crazy on April 17, the actress, now 51, looked happy — and remarkably youthful.

Thompson, who appears in the short film anthology produced by Jennifer Aniston, has enjoyed a steady stream of work since the 1980s (including starring in the sitcom Caroline in the City and, most recently, in ABC Family's Switched at Birth), but she has largely remained out of the spotlight. Back in her heyday, though, Thompson was one of the bigger stars in Hollywood, memorably breaking hearts as poor little popular girl Amanda Jones in John Hughes' Some Kind of Wonderful.

Thompson was even engaged to Dennis Quaid for a few years after having met him on the set of Jaws 3D. The actress is now married to Howard Deutch, the director of Some Kind of Wonderful, and has two girls with him. (Daughter Zoey Deutch, 18, an actress, appeared in two episodes of Thompson's show Switched at Birth this year.)

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times last year, she remarked, "I always felt like my best years would be from 50 to 65 years old. I don't know why. It was a feeling I had even when I was really young. My kids are kind of all grown up now and I can be in a difference space where I can put everything into it. "
