Nina Dobrev has steamed up the small screen numerous times on The Vampire Diaries, in spite of some unusual work conditions. During a March 12 appearance on TBS' Conan, the 24-year-old actress revealed her artist mother, Michaela Constantine, has coached her through love scenes with costars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (who happens to be her boyfriend in real life).

"I'm pretty sure I've made out with every guy on the show. As my character, of course!" Dobrev laughed. "The awkwardness and the weirdness is when my mom comes to set and I have to do a sex scene or something. That can get kind of weird, but what's even weirder is when I come off set and she starts giving me notes: 'Arch your back more. It'll look sexier if you arch your back.' We're close!"

Host Conan O'Brien joked, "That's creepy. I'm sorry! Your mom shouldn't be saying that stuff."

When Dobrev later revealed that she performs the majority of her own stunts on The Vampire Diaries, O'Brien seemed surprised. "I don't mean to say the wrong thing, but you're obviously very attractive, very talented — I just don't see you as someone who's, like, kicking ass," the 49-year-old comic told his guest.

"I'm a little insulted, actually," Dobrev replied. "You don't think I can kick some ass? I will be Angelina Jolie one day and I will kick some ass. I have stunt men with me all the time to prove it."

Dobrev then invited a quartet of stuntmen to help "stage a little scene" between herself and O'Brien. Pretending to be a creepy bar patron, O'Brien mad a pass, gushing, "I didn't think angels flew so low." After his advances were repeatedly rebuffed, Dobrev smashed a glass over the redhead's skull and performed a choreographed fight sequence. The starlet finished by triumphantly throwing her arms up in the air and telling the crowd, "That's how it's done, ladies and gentlemen!"
