Not everyone understands Chrissy Teigen's sense of humor. During a recent chat with The New York Daily News, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model joked that John Legend has 10 months to make their wedding happen — or else!
"We keep pushing the date," she said, adding that it will "definitely" happen in 2013. "If it's not this year, I'm out."
The 27-year-old beauty didn't really give the 34-year-old, nine-time Grammy winner an ultimatum, she later explained to Extra. "Obviously it was a joke," Teigen explained. "I don't even care about getting married."
The two got engaged in December 2011 following a four-year courtship.
At the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue party in New York City Feb. 12, Teigen told Us Weekly they were having trouble narrowing down a guest list. "You either have to go very small or very big. If there's 50 people, everybody else is going to be like, 'I get it. They only invited 50 people.' But if it's 200 and someone doesn't get invited, then you're f-cked!"
The two will set a date after Legend's new album drops in June. "I'm going to let him get through all of that and then we'll decide," said Teigen, who has her eye on several Vera Wang wedding dresses. "Our wedding planner is fantastic, though. . . She does the most beautiful weddings. And this poor woman has been trying to e-mail us for months. She's like, 'I just need a guest list!' And we're like, 'Sorry!'"
