Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan arrive at the "Scary Movie V" premiere in Los Angeles on April 11, 2013 in Hollywood, California.

They're definitely two of a kind. Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan walked the red carpet together at the Sabra-sponsored Hollywood premiere of Scary Movie 5 on Thursday, April 11, and looked happy to be in each other's company.

Crowds chanted Lohan's name as she posed briefly on the carpet before rushing into the theater — several fans even held banners that read "Team Lindsay," an onlooker tells Us. Sheen and Lohan make a cameo as a couple in the comedic flick.

Lohan has been trying to get back on track lately, even stopping by The Late Show on Tuesday, April 8, where she was grilled by host David Letterman.

"Aren't you supposed to be in rehab now?" the veteran talk show host asked the former Disney star, to which she gamely replied, "Do you not watch anything that goes on? May 2."

Both Letterman and Lohan later changed their tones, however, when Letterman commended the actress for having "enough spine" to make the public appearance in the first place. Lohan teared up at the comments, calling Letterman "very sweet."

But the troubled starlet's biggest supporter was the one right by her side at the premiere Thursday. Sheen, 47, recently told TMZ that he feels a "kinship" with the 26-year-old actress, so much so that he wants to be her "mentor, whether she wants one or not."

"She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey," he said.

After ducking into the theater late on Thursday evening, Lohan and several friends left halfway through the film and the actress was later noticeably absent from the after party at Lure nightclub. Sheen also opted not to make an appearance.

The two actors recently worked together on the set of Sheen's FX show, Anger Management, and like a true mentor, the former Two and a Half Men actor was quick to jump to Lohan's defense when rumors surfaced that she was a terror to work with on set — sort of.

"Day one was fabulous," he told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show on Wednesday, April 10. "She was on time, she knew her lines, hit every mark, made us look off our game…And then we had to deal with day two."

The next day, Sheen admitted, Lohan showed up to the set two hours late, complaining of an earache. "It was as though she had us held hostage because she gave us half a show."

Still, the actor, who suffered a drug and porn-star fueled meltdown in January 2011, has been trying to help Lohan out whenever possible. In February, he called upon celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch to secure a floor-length Theia gown for Lohan to wear to an amFar event.

She promptly returned it with the bottom half of the dress hacked off, saying that a bouncer at the venue lent her scissors to fix the dress, which she says she'd ripped at the club.
