You’re welcome, world. He may not be playing James Bond — at least not anytime soon — but hunky Brit Idris Elba certainly is working hard to become the man of our dreams. The Mandela actor, 42, posted a steamy Instagram video on Wednesday, Oct. 8 of his shirtless workout while training for his upcoming film, Bastille Day.
The Golden Globe winner appeared to be oiled up as he kneeled on the ground, rolling the barbell back and forth across the mat while assuming a push-up position.
Not only did Elba’s more-than-200,000 followers get a glimpse at his chiseled six pack, but his glistening arm and shoulder muscles were also on display.
This isn’t the first time the Luther star’s body has been a topic of conversation. Back in August, a photo of Elba on set went viral thanks to a giant (and lengthy) bulge in his pants.
The actor later cleared up the package in question, tweeting, “The good news is i got a sh—load of followers. The bad news is, that is a mic wire. #egowentintospaceshipmodethough.”
Bastille Day is an action flick, which centers around an artist (Richard Madden) and a former CIA agent (Elba) who team up for an anti-terrorist mission in France. It is set for a 2016 release.
